Now is the time for your business to Get Social!

Develop your Social Media Campaign Now before your competitors do!

As most of us are noticing more and more large companies are advertising their social media sites “come follow us on Twitter, join our Facebook page”.   Small and local business owners are starting to realize the need to get on this Social Media Band Wagon.  However, I have noticed a critical element that is missing in the majority of these advertisements and I reveal this in my 5 day Twitter course.  Without this main strategy, most social media marketing campaigns will die in their infancy.

Here are some of the benefits that are being reaped by business owners who are incorporating this critical element:

Social Media Connections>> Increase in company buzz and exposure
>> Increase blog/website traffic.
>> Increase in search engine ranking
>> Decrease in marketing expenses

All of which mean, Increase in sales!!!

Business owners are realizing that they have to connect with their customers in a whole new dimension.  Many marketing firms are offering these services.   Unfortunately, traditional advertising will not work in Social Media marketing so it is critical to learn the Social Media etiquette in order to “play in this space”.  That is why it is so important to work with Social Media experts that already have a successful social media presence.

When searching for a social media marketing company, one litmus test to determine their success is to check out their Twitter page to see how many tweets they have posted and find out how many followers they have.  Twitter is one of the most complicated platforms in Social Media.  Due to all the third party interfacing applications, it is challenging to make these individual properties work seamlessly.

Our mission here at Novanet Profits is to provide our customers the most unique, compelling, and entertaining presence online that attracts a targeted stream of engaging and satisfied visitors that turn into loyal and happy customers.

Does Your business need a Facebook Fan Page?

A Facebook fan page is crucial for social media marketing success. Facebook provides one of the most engaging platforms in all of Social Media.  If you can master this new marketing approach, your company will flourish with fresh new leads from the digital “word of mouth” referrals.

Did you know that Facebook may not be a priority site for your market. Each industry is different and attracts a specific target market so Facebook might not be a priority site say for a software company.  However, it would be for a beauty salon or fashion boutique.  There are hundreds of social media sites, applications and third party plug-ins to understand and it can get very overwhelming.  It is vital for the success of any social media marketing to start with market research and analysis before developing the Ultimate Social Media Game Plan.  Taking this step first will save your company from costly mistakes.

Facebook Timeline-5 Easy Steps to Get You Started

Facebook has officially announced Timeline for brands!

Now before you start to panic, Facebook doesn’t force its users to make the changes overnight. There is a grace period that gives you some time to preview the new look and review you page before the changes take effect on March 30. Here are just a few key things you will need to know to make your Timeline brand page a success.

How to enable Facebook Timeline:

1. Turn on the preview for your company’s brand page.

This gives you a chance to make all the edits and get things the way you want before it becomes published for your audience to see. Your page will automatically convert to the new Timeline on March 30, so the sooner you get it up and running the better.

2. Add a cover photo.

One of the most exciting features of the timeline s the large image featured at the top of the page. Since your cover photo is one of the first things your audience sees, businesses should use it as an opportunity to feature something powerful and captivating. Need help? Here are 5 Tools for Killer Cover Photos. Remember, the dimensions of the large cover image are 851 x 315 pixels. When creating your cover photo, it is important to follow a few simple rules.

Your cover photo cannot include:

A. Price or purchase information, such as “40% off” or “Download it at our website”.
B. Contact information such as website address, email, mailing address, or information that should go in you Page’s “About” section.
C. References to Facebook features or actions, such as “Like” or “Share” or an arrow pointing from the cover photo to any of these features.
D. Calls to action, such as “Get it now” or “Tell your friends”.
E. Covers must not be false, deceptive or misleading, and must not infringe on third parties’ intellectual property. (Source)

3. Redesign and showcase your apps.

With the new Timeline, you now have the ability to have customizable icons for timeline applications. Right below your cover photo, what was once your “tabs” are now displayed as apps. Though only four are displayed, you can have up to twelve. Careful consideration needs to be given to which apps your audience can see right off hand as this is where they will first go to navigate through your page.

The easiest way to add the new icon is to:

1. Go to your page’s settings
2. Click on ‘apps’
3. Scroll down to the application you want to edit.
4. Click ‘edit settings’.
5. Where it says custom tab image, click change.
6. Click ‘change’ again and upload the photo.

4. Milestones.

You can go back in time to add business milestones to your Timeline, such as the date you were founded, your first customers, etc. Take this opportunity to tell the story of your business. Fans love to see personal touches from businesses, so let them know how it all began and how you got to where you are today.

5. Publish!

Your page should now be ready to be published for your audience to see! Timeline is essentially built to create more of an interaction between your brand and your audience. Used in the right way, this could be an incredible way for brands to better communicate and reach out to its fans.  Check out this video for any additional information or help you may need. Happy Time-lining!
